Request for Local News for ArcheryUK

Jane Percival is the new editor of Archery UK – and the new press relations officer.

She is looking for news of events or anything else of interest that is going on in clubs, counties and regions, so she has asked that the letter below is circulated on to clubs.

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Jane Percival and I am the new editor of Archery UK – and your new press relations officer.

This is an exciting time for Archery GB. A real momentum is building, starting with the 150th anniversary, the World Championships, the World Para Championships, the World Cup and the Olympic trials, to name but a few. But these are not isolated events – they are part of the build-up to the Olympics and Paralympics. And it is the perfect time to put British archery where it deserves to be - firmly in the limelight.

As the Olympics get closer, there will be lots in the press about our elite archers. But the story does not end there. Your stories are just as important.

We all know how great archery is – now it's time to let everyone else in on the secret. You are the first point of contact for anyone who wants to get involved in the sport. It's you who will raise the profile of archery in your community.

So if you have a great story, please let me know and I will help you get it into the news.

And if you already have a good relationship with the press that's great, but please copy me into the emails so that I can keep track of what's being published and where.

I look forward to hearing from you.

If you have any news about your club or event, please email to Jane Percival.
